There are some things in life that stay constant, like Barbara Windsor will always be in Eastenders, and La Senza will always be about lingerie.

Well actually that’s not true any more. One of these things has changed, and it’s not Eastenders (though that could do with one..).

La Senza are selling menswerar. My first reaction was why, oh why, oh why. La Senza is good at what it does, lingerie

But..

.. I had to take a look before I passed my final judgement, and well my thoughts are mixed.

La Senza did actually impress me with the styling of their mens boxer briefs. These briefs are snug, supportive and provide you with a very sexy silhouette.

However the range as a whole disappoints because La Senza have been too scared to say “Look this is our range, simple and sexy. We think it’s great and you should too”, and instead have covered these stylish undies with witty slogans like “Nice Baubles”, “Jingle My Bells” and “Crown Jewels”.

Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t lost my sense of humour, these are funny slogans, and they will make great stocking fillers. I just think they had a great range with the novelty aspect, and now they have it, it’s going to be hard to come back with a strong “serious” range later on..

But maybe I’m just whingey because it’s Monday. What do you think?
